The P.M. Institute of Civil Services Examination is a major residential centre of excellence for rigorous and specific coaching for Indian Civil Services Examination, Indian Forest Service Examination, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examinations. The minimum eligibility for admission is Graduation in any discipline. However, preference will be given to Post-graduates and Professional Degree holders. Selection is on the basis of a Common Entrance Test (CET) and Group Discussion/ Interview. Off campus enrolment is allowed for the candidates who are otherwise eligible. There is a galaxy of eminent experts as consultants and Hon. Resource Persons for the Institute. The Institute offers Scholarships to a few candidates on the basis of merit-cum-means. Farook College P.M Institute of civil services Examination won two ranks when the UPSC declared the final result of civil services examination. Ayesha Rani A and Jerin G Anand are the two candidates trained from the institute who stood 139 and 317 positions respectively in the list of successful candidates of the civil services examination this year.
Ms.Ayesha Rani is daughter of Abdurahman and Raziya Rahman hailing from parakode in pathanamthitta district and at present looking as senior technical officer in ICICI bank at kozhikode. Mr.Jerin G Anand, an officer in intelligence bureau at Jammu, is son of P.V.Jayaraman (Retd.Engineer,PWD) and Dr.Geetha of Periyaram Medical College and hailing from thekkilpedika, chovva in Kannur District.
Earlier, in the civil services written examination held in November 2008 four students of this institute became successful and called for personal interview at Delhi.
The two ranks in the civil services examination is another feather this year on the cap of FarookCollege which was reaccredited at A grade by the NAAC in March.
