Department of Psychology (SF)

Department of Psychology, Farook College has been established in the year of 2012, which offering Under Graduation and Post-Graduation courses in Psychology. Department aims to bridge the gap between the theoretical concepts with practically applied domains of psychology. The Department has well equipped laboratory for experimental psychology and psychological assessments. The curriculum is integrated with field work in hospitals, industries and advertisement consultancies, keeping in view of students’ placement after the successful completion of the course.

Post Graduate department upholds the pride of conducting different outreach programmes including seminars, workshops, and mental health promotion ventures in both National and International standards. The enthusiastic and service oriented crew of psychology extend their activities to both government and non-government organizations such as Women Cell, Farook College, KSCAT and District Child Line, Kozhikode. Students of the department, also associates in various projects such as Community Disability Management and Rehabilitation Program (CDMRP), a joint project of Social Justice Department. Govt. of Kerala and Department of Psychology, Calicut University, and other private mental health cares in the city.

Department also runs a Counselling centre, open freely for students and faculty members of the college.
