Dr. Deepak Vohra (Former Ambassador of India to Poland and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau) will Deliver the Convocation 2018 Address on 29 September 2018
This is the era of the youth especially of India and Asia, as they emerge as a major economic, cultural and political power across the globe. Today India arises as the ‘Vishwa guru of the world’ said Dr. Deepak Vohra (Former Ambassador of India to Poland and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Lesotho and Guinea-Bissau) while delivering the convocation address at Farook College. The 2nd convocation ceremony for PG and UG students was held today afternoon at The College convention centre. Dr. Deepak Vohra was the chief guest.
The Convocation began with a colourful academic procession followed by the proclamation of the convocation by Dr.K.M Naseer, Principal of the College. Welcome address was given by Mr. C.P Kunhimohammed, Manager, Farook College.
Mr. P K Ahamed, President of Farook College Managing Committee , in his presidential address expressed his confidence in the ability of the students to overcome the challenges that may come in their way and wished success for all the students in their endeavor. Dr. P Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Calicut and Dr.V.V George Kutty, Controller of Examinations,University of Calicut also felicitated the graduates.
In the convocation address, Deepak Vohra said that now is the best time to be young in India. He urged the students to look to the future with confidence as they rewrite the destiny of India. He urged them to chase their dreams and vision. As India’s self confidence and buying power soars throughout the world students have endless opportunities ahead.
On the occasion total of 285 students were awarded their degrees in various discipline.
Mr. K.Kunhalvi, Vice president, Mr. N.K Muhammed Ali, treasurer and Mr. K.V Kunjahmed Koya, Secretary of Farook College Management committee were present at the ceremony.
The Convocation ended with a Vote of Thanks by PEMA Rasheed, Controller of examination.
