Prof. Mamiyil Sabu, our prestigeous alumnus (BSc Botany - 1976-79 batch) has received the EK Janaki Ammal National Award for Plant Taxonomy for his distinguished and outstanding contribution in the field of Angiosperm taxonomy. He was the former HOD of Botany at University of Calicut, now working as Emeritus Scientist at Malabar Botanical Garden & Institute of Plant Sciences, Kozhikode.
